E-cruiting Letters and Job Descriptions
E-cruiting is a simple way to communicate with volunteers, share your vision, and give them information about different opportunities to serve at Galilee By-the-Sea. Just copy any of the letters below (depending on where you’re at in your recruiting timeline), paste the letter into an e-mail, and send it to a list of potential volunteers. It just doesn’t get any easier!
Letter #1 (Send this letter to your entire congregation to share your vision for Galilee By-the-Sea) :
Imagine…
…a child hearing about God’s love for the first time.
…kids and families worshipping in powerful ways.
…families praying for each other.
…adults and teens modeling Jesus’ love to children.
…children and families serving each other.
This summer, let’s transform our church into a seaside village. Be a part of the Vacation Bible School at [CHURCH NAME] during [VBS DATES]. It’s our goal to reach [NUMBER] kids with this program! That’s [SAME NUMBER] kids who will grow in their relationship with God.
We’re praying this awesome VBS program will touch children’s hearts and lives with God’s love. Help kids in our community discover that:
- Jesus chooses us.
- Jesus teaches us.
- Jesus heals us.
- Jesus protects us.
- Jesus provides for us.
As we plan and prepare for Galilee By-the-Sea, our team would cherish your prayers. Pray that God would give us wisdom in planning. Pray for the right staff members to join our team. And pray that God would begin working in the hearts of the children and families who will come to Galilee By-the-Sea!
Watch for more information about this exciting ministry event!

So let me share a few ideas about ways you might be able to make this program a success. Please check out the following list, then pray about where God might use you:
