Create your own high-energy Power Lab!

"So far my imagination is soaring for the entrance, and I am thinking of a silver paper lined hallway with interesting paper or cardboard clipart of the theme.  I wonder how a large beaker entrance would be to walk through. The sign in table gets very congested when the kids arrive to receive their shirts and cds. I am thinking of greeters in lab coats at the sign in table to point them in the right direction to their special lab set up on the floor of the church hall. We will probably color code the crews." - Church Lady

1. Wind Twirlers—Fill a hallway with these shiny, twisty twirly-whirlers.

2. Beakers Brimming with Bubbles—Carve giant styrofoam beakers, paint them, then string blue bubble balloons above.

3. No Missing Links Here!—Plastic cable ties and a plethora of pool noodles are all you need for this charming chain.

4. Get Glowing—A variety of simple circuits and lights make for easy, hands-on fun.

5. Look Up—Staple a clear tarp to the sides of a hallway ceiling. Fill with a bounty of bubbly blue balloons!

6. Tall Test Tubes—Large, sturdy cardboard tubes make excellent—and easy—towering test tubes. Just paint them and tape them to a wall.

7. Have a Ball—Paint an appliance box, then staple dryer venting along the sides. Stretch out the venting and let preschoolers drop plastic balls into the tubes. Wheeee!

8. We’re All Gears—Carve gargantuan styrofoam gears, paint them, and tape them to a wall. Then wind foam pipe insulation between them for color and creativity.
